U.S. v. A.M. - Charged with Sales of 22 pounds of Methamphetamine

Client was arrested with over 22 pounds of methamphetamine in his vehicle, and had extensive criminal history including 3 prior drug sales conviction and felon in possession of a firearm. Client was lo ... oking at a level 38 with a criminal history category IV which would result in a sentence of over 27 years and a 10 year mandatory minimum! Client was not interested in any form of cooperation with the government. After extensive plea negotiations, and counsel's knowledge that Lopez, a current 9th Circuit case that allowed a loop-hole making defendant eligible for the safety-valve, defendant was ultimately sentenced to a little over 7 years!!!
