I was referred to Mr Eisen by a friend. From the start to finish, Mr Eisen was very professional and accommodated all of my needs. He was very communicative, always made time for me to speak when I had a concern, very knowledgeable and informative. 2021 was a pretty stressful year for me. Got a DUI, then a couple months later got arrested again for being drunk in public and brandishing a deadly weapon. I thought I was completely screwed after the first arrest. Then after the second I was certain I was going to be spending some jail time. Well, ...I was wrong. I used to work for a major retail company as a cashier. As a young, powerless, and disenfranchised male from a minority background, this job was my first entry into the workforce. I was always told that if I worked hard, followed the rules, and didn't expect too much, the bossman might reward my effo...rts with some PTO. In short, I was cultured from a young age never to shoot for the stars because jet fuel is expensive, we need that money for groceries, we have jet fuel at home, and the white man doesn't take kindly to brown people crossing borders, anyway. As my parents once put it, the world is run by the rich, white, boss man and we are all merely guests in his yard. This didn't bother me much. I just wanted to put in an honest day's work for an honest day's wages, then go home. But unbeknownst to me, for those at the bottom of the food chain, the world of retail employment is an unforgiving beast. As a cashier, I was instructed by my employer to stand at my lane, all day, every day, unless otherwise sent on my break or to lunch by the bossman. To those unfamiliar with retail life, this meant standing on my feet for nearly 8 hours every day, with absolutely no relief aside from my lunch and inconsistent breaks. And why? Because there was some functional purpose for this treatment? WRONG. Contrary to the stigma that retailers attempt to implant in their workers' minds that only lazy workers sit while on the job, there should be nothing wrong with sitting down to do a task that can be performed just as easily sitting down while standing up. And until I retained Mr. Eisen to represent me, I was completely unaware that there isn't. In fact, under California law, not only can cashiering be done while sitting, but I now know that employers are required to provide you with a chair when a cashier asks for one. This information was a game changer for me. After several weeks of leg breaking work and failed attempts at obtaining a chair to relieve my aching feet from HR, I retained Mr. Eisen to represent me in my hour of need. Through what I can only describe as a David taking down Goliath, Mr. Eisen managed to successfully demand a chair on my behalf, thereby ending my weeks-long stalemate and suffering while on the floor of the retail monster. And as a cherry on top of the entire ice cream sundae I had just won, he took my case completely pro bono! What a guy! Your matter is in EXCELLENT hands with Mr. Eisen and I cannot recommend him highly enough. All the billboard lawyers in all of LA County have nothing on him.
