I won't go into details, but I will say that Jonathan took excellent care of me! He was compassionate, while remaining professional, and straight forward. In legal situations, my personal experience, I needed serious guidance. I couldn't make heads or tails of all the paperwork for my case. I received a misdemeanor ticket by Law Enforcement Agency related to California Consumer Affairs. Even though I was right and I had 100% valid & true facts & reasons for a case that led me to involve with them, I got the ticket just because I chose a wrong approach/way to communicate with them. I wa...s frustrated, emotional, and a bit angry for the lengthy process and unsatisfactory outcome for that case. My experience with Mr. Lynn was through the law firm of Wallin & Klarich where he is employed. I did not hire Mr Lynn. Mr Lynn was pushed on me by the firm, after the attorney I did hire, was abruptly replaced. I was originally told by the firm that they were replacing my first attorney with Mr. Lynn... who was a senior associate and had more experience with cases like mine. Nearly 2-months later, Mr. Lynn disclosed that my first attorney had given his notice and quit his job. I questioned how a law firm could withhold that information from me, and Mr. Lynn responded by telling me that he had given his notice before I hired him. My next question was how they could allow me to hire a lawyer who had quit his job and then push Mr. Lynn on me without even being able to discuss my case with him prior to court. Mr. Lynn told me that my first lawyer had given him all of the documentation I had provided him, yet Mr. Lynn never had any of it when needed. I received a phone call from Mr. Lynn the night before court, asking me to get him a written medical diagnosis, which by his own admission, he claimed he already had. When I pointed that out to Mr. Lynn, he said, I’m not saying I don’t have it. The defense of my case relied heavily on a terminal medical condition I suffer from, yet Mr. Lynn failed to educate himself enough to even know what he was talking about, which made it impossible for him to adequately or appropriately defend me. Mr. Lynn repeatedly told me he could produce a certain outcome, only to fail miserably in court and produce the exact opposite outcome. I posted a Yelp review of the firm and Mr. Lynn’s egregious an unethical mishandling of my case, and Mr. Lynn thought the appropriate time to confront me about it, was in court, seated at the defendants table, in front of the judge. After 2-months on my case, Mr. Lynn still could not tell me what the facts in my case were when asked and at one point another client of Mr. Lynn, came up to my witness and I in court and told us if Mr. Lynn was my attorney, he was the worst F-ing attorney on the planet. An observation I sadly have to agree with, since the firm devoted much of their time representing me, trying to have my Yelp review removed. When the firm’s office manager contacted me to try to negotiate my review on Yelp, I recorded the call and confronted the firm with their repeated misrepresentations and outright lies to me. Mr. Lynn waited for 2 weeks and the withdrew as my attorney, 3-days before my next court date and refused to even tell me what he had discussed with the prosecutor so that I would have a starting point moving forward, saying he didn’t have to prove to me that he even had a conversation with the prosecutor. I was forced to go with a public defender and within 10 minutes, he made a deal with the same prosecutor to reduce my charges and give me summary probation. The best Mr. Lynn could do was 60 days in jail. In retaliation, Mr. Lynn waited for 3-months after my case was resolved and then secretly filed felony charges against me for recording the call, which I was never notified of, despite the fact that he was my attorney at the time and had all of my contact information, knowing that I would eventually be arrested, and I was, nearly 2-years later. Fortunately for me, the judge recognized the charges as retaliatory and found the prosecution negligent in waiting so long to prosecute. I can’t advise anyone strongly enough against hiring this attorney or the firm that he works for.
