A Serious Warning for Families

If your child has been assigned Brian Baron as Minor’s Counsel, I urge you—as a parent and fellow human being—to proceed with extreme caution. My experience with Mr. Baron and his assistant, Rebecca Galvan, was deeply disappointing, disheartening, and frankly, disturbing. Had I been given any say ...in the matter, I would have requested his removal after our first interaction. By the time I became aware of his troubling reputation—something I later learned is widely discussed among family law professionals—the damage to my case and, more importantly, my family, had already occurred. Throughout this painful process, Mr. Baron showed an alarming lack of objectivity and professionalism. He consistently failed to respond to communications, neglected to engage with both parties equally, and demonstrated a level of disengagement that left me questioning whether he truly grasped the gravity of his role. His actions—or lack thereof—reflected a profound disregard for the voice and best interest of my child. Even more concerning, it became clear that much of the substantive casework was being delegated to his assistant, Rebecca Galvan. According to public records like LinkedIn, her qualifications raise serious concerns, and her unprofessional and at times combative demeanor made an already stressful situation significantly worse. It is hard to ignore the pattern: Mr. Baron appears to be spoon-fed appointments by the court, which raises the question of whether his priority is truly the well-being of the children he’s meant to represent—or simply securing as many cases as possible to increase his earnings. The quality of his involvement, from what I observed, does not reflect someone invested in actually doing the work required of Minor’s Counsel. This experience left me feeling voiceless, helpless, and appalled at a system that allows this kind of representation for children. I am currently in the process of filing a formal complaint with the California State Bar, and I encourage any other families who have been affected to do the same. Our children’s well-being is too important to be left in the hands of those who appear indifferent to their duty. If you have also had a difficult experience involving Mr. Baron, I welcome the opportunity to connect and advocate for change. Our children deserve advocates who listen, care, and act with integrity.

Listen to the Reviews.

Dear Friends, I am writing to express my concerns regarding Mr. Brian Baron and his practices in handling child-related cases. My husband and I, along with a growing group of concerned families, have noted significant issues with Mr. Baron's impartiality and professionalism in his current and pre...vious cases. Firsthand experiences and accounts from other parents indicate a troubling pattern of behavior. Mr. Baron claims, to adhere to a non-bias approach and insists he is ONLY meeting with the child in isolation from guardians or parents as he is appointed by the court. Recently, we have learned that Mr. Baron extends his practice to meeting with only one side of a party, and in many cases, those who are the accused. This ultimately leads to chaos and confusion for the child. In court, he will admit to not reviewing cases nor interviewing the other parties involved. His recommendations hold significant weight, yet he seems not fully invested in the child's situation. There are serious questions regarding his motives and capabilities. Additionally, we have found records of complaints against Mr. Baron with the California State Bar Association and requests to remove himself from a case, further raising concerns about such appointments in critical family matters. We encourage anyone with this type of experience with Mr. Baron to connect with us. Together, we can advocate for a thorough investigation into his practices and ensure that no child suffers emotional harm or separation from their family. Thank you for your attention to this serious matter. Brian Baron has several accounts for reviews. Cheers.

Divorced woman

I was referred to him by a friend. I gave him my money in hopes of being properly represented, but to my dismay he gave no interest in me or my case. I was very devastated and saddened by his lack of interest. I went on to another lawyer but Mr. Barron’s choices in the beginning of my case were very ...detrimental. If you are still reading this Please do Not let him represent you. I promise you Will regret it.
