I had a very pleasant experience with Tim Adams. He is very educated in special education law. I felt confident having him as our attorney. He was always honest with me, and our outcome was very successful. I would recommend him to any families that need help in obtaining FAPE for their child. Tim Adams is probably one of the best things that happened to my family and I. Tim not only has represented us and our daughter over the past couple of years but most importantly, has educated us on issues that we were not familiar with before. He has instilled such confidence in us so that we have b...een able to successfully deal directly with our school district and we only call him when we have questions or there is something we cannot handle. Equally important, thanks to Tim we have become more involved in the autism community and have met wonderful people who like us, have wonderful things to say about him. Tim has been a groundbreaker in the area of special education and has set the bar (high) for other attorneys who do this kind of work. He is constantly asked to do speaking engagements for local support groups and at national conferences. I suppose this website is helpful if you want to get some reviews of attorneys you are dealing. However, the most accurate feedback you can get is from word of mouth, blogs, and message boards that focus on special education law. I see Tim's name come up a lot on these and its always good stuff.

Tim Adams has to be the worst attorney practicing special education law in the State of California. I don't know of anyone who has had a positive experience with him-- client, employee, opposing counsel, etc. His primary problem is that he doesn't know or understand the law. As a parent, I feel li...ke I was educating him most of the time. He had some decent associate attorneys working for him from time to time, but the turnover at his firm was constant and I was shuffled from attorney to attorney. All the while my bill continued to grow yet no progress was made toward an acceptable program for my child. And he never seemed to have any clue what was going on with my case or what my specific issues were whenever we spoke. I received terrible service and advice from him and ultimately retained another attorney to assist my family. After providing subpar representation, he demanded full payment of his astronical legal bill. I would not refer anyone to Mr. Adams for any purpose.
