One star
Michael Totaro with a retainer for legal representation. He did not file my case on time, and my case was dropped. Not only that I lost my case, but my money was also never returned to me. I gave him a one-star rating because he did represent me once in the past and was good back then.
This past client has been a problem from the beginning. We freely admitted that we missed a Statute for an adversary proceeding by 4 minutes. However, the reason it went to the wire was because he never provided the evidence necessary for a successful adversary proceeding. It was all conjecture and speculation which was presented to us as fact the beginning. Despite this we have attempted to pay him. First, due to Covid our income dropped 90% during 2020 and 2021. We were forced to file a personal chapter 11 not only because of lost income but also due to having to evict a tenant that was costing us $15,000 a month. During all of this we closed the former entity and since his refund was tied to the business we did not include it in the personal filing. To rectify that I told him to file a claim in the personal bankruptcy and we would not object to it being late and would cover it there. Unfortunately the case was converted to Chapter 7 and his debt would have been wiped out. To avoid this I presented him with an option for full payment, minus interest. All I asked is that he set the terms. He never did that, I had to prepare the claim for him, and instead he posted the review and continually violates the automatic stay by posting comments everywhere in an effort to force payment. So the bottom line is that I am no longer willing to keep trying to appease him. We have been patient with all his rants, have tried to assist him in having the Chapter 7 trustee of the person who actually caused his problem do some investigation to no avail solely because again he could not produce evidence to back up his claim. The above is the actual story.
