Because my commitment offense related to sex with a minor I knew it would be an uphill battle. I met with Mr. Oberstien for a consultation and we reviewed my case. I paid $100 for a consultation, and his research indicated that I could get an expungement for my offense..., which I never would have thought possible. A year later, my expungement was granted, and my registration requirement was removed as well! This was absolutely the most productive $100 I have ever spent to improve the quality of my life. Most people think that consultation fees are free, which they may be in many cases. But those free "consultations" are not consultations as much as assessments to attempt to get your business for expensive legal services. Chance charges a reasonable fee, but you will get far more pertinent consultation results that you can use effectively.
