Scott Jason Ferrell

Results: Scott is one of California’s most successful trial lawyers. In recent years, he has tried 24 commercial cases to verdict (winning 22). He has obtained pre-trial dismissals of countless other cases, with seven published opinions as lead counsel.

Awards: In recognizing Scott as one of California’s “Top 20 Lawyers under 40”, the California Daily Journal described Scott’s trial record as “remarkable.” From 2010-2012, Mr. Ferrell was voted by his peers as one of California’s “Top 100 SuperLawyers.” As a recognized expert on trial strategy, Scott lectures quarterly at bar-approved CLE seminars on topics including jury selection, cross-examination, and closing argument.

Recent Wins: In October of 2010, Scott obtained a complete defense verdict after a six-week environmental contamination trial for a large energy company (in which the plaintiffs sought nearly $20 million). Scott also recently obtained a $47.4 million verdict for a telecom client in a trade secret case – the largest punitive damage award ever issued in San Diego Federal Court. Scott has also won 4 trials in which the jury deliberated less than an hour before finding in favor of his client.
