Having had the unfortunate experience of becoming entangled in the federal criminal justice system as a white collar defendant, I have worked with over a dozen attorneys over the past 9 years including public defenders, CJA counsel, retained attorneys and even appeals attorneys so I have seen bad lawyers and great lawyers. Dean is the VERY best I've seen.
I met Dean while on supervised release and was being threatened with violating my conditions (which is very easy to do…). Because of Dean, I am still here with only 4 months to go. If only I had found him when my nightmare began, my whole story may have ended differently.
For the first time in 9 years and numerous different attorneys, I finally felt like someone had my back and who truly cared about what was going to happen to me. For Dean, it wasn’t about money. It was about ME. He was as much a therapist as he was a skilled attorney and because he calmed me down, I was able to make better decisions. He understood my panic and stress.
If you're new to the system, you are likely under the worst stress of your life, facing limited finances and finding it difficult to know how to hire a good attorney. Let me help. Just hire Dean.
You need someone who has experience and who has seen it all. Dean has been practicing for over 35 years exclusively in federal criminal justice and it shows. I finally felt like I had the Ferrarri of attorneys. And, he made it so I could afford him. With over 150 jury trials, he has much more experience than even most of the pricey attorneys hired by celebrities.
You also need someone who will listen, not just cut you short because sometimes it’s the smallest detail that makes all the difference. Additionally, by letting you get it out, you will be able to be more focused and make better decisions at a time when your decisions will make or break the rest of your life. Dean has the experience and maturity to know this.
But what really shocked me about Dean is that he knew things that other attorneys did not. Most attorneys don’t know how you should prep if you’re going to go to prison or what you should take the day you surrender (assuming you get that opportunity). Dean does.
Most attorneys don’t know much about supervised release or what’s going to happen when you’ve completed supervised release and still owe restitution. While most attorneys focus only on trial prep or a plea, you’re typically on your own after that. But Dean knows there is so much more to it and was able to give me advice about things no other attorney could because they simply didn't know. Dean has made it his business to know!
And finally, you need someone who cares about more than just money. You need an attorney who will put you first. Dean is all of this and more. He still practices law, not because he needs a paycheck, but because he truly enjoys it. While I hope I never need another criminal attorney, if I do, I will absolutely hire Dean again. He is the best of the best.
