Defendant was charged with two counts of residential burglary where it was alleged that both victims were present and that defendant committed the crime for the benefit of the gang. Both victims picke ... d the defendant out of a lineup and the defendant was convicted of the underlying burglaries. However, despite being a self-admitted gang member and despite his co-defendant being an associate of the gang, the jury hung on the gang enhancements. Defendant was facing a maximum of 21+ years before trial and after trial, his maximum was 8 years.

Client found Not Guilty after trial.

Client was charged with felony assault with force likely to produce GBI, felony domestic violence and felony child endangerment. Client was accused of striking his girlfriend in the eye while driving ... his car. The girlfriend then climbed into the back seat next to their child, where the client allegedly struck her again repeatedly. Girlfriend's 911 call was played for the jury and police found the girlfriend with a black eye. Jury acquitted client of all charges.

Client was accused of felony domestic violence against his wife. Client has two prior convictions for felony domestic violence against his wife and the prosecuted introduced evidence of client calling ... his wife from jail and telling her to lie on the stand. Wife had a broken nose after their fight and the prosecutor had a physician expert witness testify about the injuries. Although client was convicted of domestic violence, the jury hung on the great bodily injury enhancement and then the judge dismissed the enhancement, which saved the crime from becoming a strike.

Two independent witnesses saw client get out of his car, take off his shirt and punch the window of the ... alleged victim, before the threat was allegedly made. Jury returned a Not Guilty verdict in about an hour after Mr. Thiagarajah showed that the complaining witness was not being truthful about what happened.

Two independent witnesses saw the client drive the car to the house and client's friend couldn't be found for trial. Jury convicted client of the DUI.
