I would never recommend anyone to use Emily as their attorney. I hired her many many years ago to represent me for my child custody/ support case and she did nothing to help me. I did all the leg work by providing her all my documents, going to the court to retrieve old documents from previous cases ...with the father of my children. The day of court she showed up with no paperwork, good thing I was prepared and had a copy of the whole case with me that she used. After months of not hearing from her with an update she informed me the judge threw out my case due to the other parent having outstanding violations and that I could pay the tickets myself to live forward which turned out to be a lie years later. I went to the court to try to proceed with the case on my own and the staff thought I was crazy and advised me to fire my attorney because they hard record she showed up to court on an unknown date and represented me and the judge did actually grant me full custody and child support which I did not know about for years. When I asked for the final documents they informed me the child support will not be valid since the attorney filed the order after hearing incorrectly and left off the child support but it was mentioned in the minute order. Per the court staff I would have to refill all the paperwork and serve the other parent again and go before a judge. It’s impossible for me to serve the other parent as he is in jail far away and financially I do not have the funds nor time to do this as this has been a case going since about 2013. Do not waste your time or money because you will be left doing the attorney work on your own.

When our granddaughter was 3 years old her mother decided we could no longer see her. Our son was not married to the mother. I am a 26 year old new mother born and raised in Knoxville Tennessee, i had met my baby's father in California in a rehab. i became pregnant, i returned home and had my baby, before my baby turned 6 months old. i came to California, on a "vacation". i stayed with my baby's fathers, mother. i was na...ive and trusted them. little did i know they had planned to take my baby from me and attempt to keep me in California. They alienated me so i could not communicate with my family, they held me hostage in their home, the father and his mother, physically took my child out of my arms. they lied in California court and said awful things about me that were untrue in attempt to prove me unfit. They have money, and hired a lawyer to blindside me, as the grandmother attempted to get guardianship of my child, they kept my child from me for a month, and tied me up in California court. i came to Emily lost , confused and out of hope, a 26 year old new mom, she told me in the beginning she would get my daughter back and get me home; she did exactly what she said she would do. we had 9 court appearances in a month and a evidentiary hearing on jurisdiction. it became a hearing on my character, Emily defended me, and proved California court had no jurisdiction. She was amazing. She is a real person, and she became a very close friend. I had a ridiculously hard case and she fought it until the end. she showed up to court every time we had to and brought her best . i highly recommend her. if you have difficult case, and have lost hope and see no end in sight, she will bring the light. her and her associates became my friends. they are an amazing team and will work hard to do what is right. Her and her associates taught me a lot about myself, and things i needed to learn to grow up and be the mother i know i could be. They are an amazing group of real people. I am lucky to have stumbled upon her. Without her, i would not have my daughter. I have happily returned home to Tennessee with my daughter where we belong, and am enrolling in school and starting the life i want for my child. without Emily and her team i would be lost in California without my daughter i can never thank them enough.
