Scott Wellman was a horrible disappointment for our company, and we want to warn other businesses and consumers in general about Scott and how he practices law. Wellman took on several litigation and transactional matters for our small business. It is a business that had taken off, after my business ...partners and I poured most of our savings into a project we believed in. Scott Wellman failed us after putting himself in a position of trust. Wellman & Warren lawyers failed to: 1. communicate about the legal work they were performing; 2. Failed to communicate settlement offer; 3. Failed to explain their billing practices; 4. Failed to provide us with options or any type of strategy. Having Scott Wellman serve as our lawyer was the worst experience we have ever had in business. In fact, Wellman & Warren LLP almost destroyed our business and our lives. We know that the Internet is not the most reliable source of references, but we urge potential clients to think carefully and do their own due diligence before they let Scott sweet-talk them into hiring his firm. This could be a decision that you could regret for the rest of your life. Associatges that work for Scott, Bimali Walgampaya, Cathy Zotti, and Anabella Bonfa are "nice", and generally polite, but are utterly incompetent. They have no business or litigation experience, and act as glorified secretaries for Scott. I believe that they are paid accordingly. If you read this, you are trying to do some diligence on Scott Wellman, and his firm. My family and I came to Scott Wellman through another lawyer who serves as of counsel to his firm. He told us we had a great case and are sure to prevail. Nothing could be further from the truth. Wellman could not even put together a complaint. It was successfully demurred 5 times, and he just ke...pt billing us until we ran out of money. he then fired us as clients and put a lien on us. We had been forced to defend ourselves. this has been destructive to my family and me, and my friends. I would have thought twice about doing this if Wellman did not encourage me.

My company based out of Hong Kong was interested in doing business in the United States, we were referred to Mr. Scott Wade Wellman by a mutual business associate to handle all necessary legal matters. Mr. Wellman stated that he would handle all of our work himself. He described his experience and kn...owledge of international business law. It turns out that Mr. Wellman more of a slick salesman than an attorney. When we received our documents, everything was not correct. There were many errors and omissions throughout. After much investigation we found he outsourced our work to document mills where almost nothing is written by attorneys. Then he charged use 20 times what he paid. Mr. Wellman has stopped returning our calls, and we have now decided to terminate our business relationship with him and his firm. Do not let this salesman take your money for work he did not do. Avoid Mr. Scott Wade Wellman and you will be better off for it.
