We were represented by Mr. Strid in a civil litigation matter and an auto accident. In the auto matter, we felt he led us along and then just dumped our matter when it came to mediation by not fighting for us. In the civil matter, we received very poor advice (which we found out later from several ot...
After nearly 42 years of practicing law I have learned that you cannot make every client happy, especially when they are architects of their own problems. This client's husband was involved in a motor vehicle accident. I obtained a substantial recovery for him, including payment of policy limits from the negligent motorist's insurance company. The client agreed to settle, and I did not force him. I also reduced my fee as a professional consideration, a gesture that was apparently unappreciated given this review. The "civil litigation matter" also referred to was a situation where the client made some very bad decisions before I was even retained. After being retained, the clients on their own initiative hired another attorney to represent them at trial, and an adverse result for the client was obtained. I don't fault the attorney who tried the case as she was stuck with the client's bad decisions as made before suit was even filed. The client then fired the trial attorney and prevailed on me to retain my services (again) to represent them in post-trial proceedings. I was able to secure some monetary advantages for them, but when they had a chance to settle the entire case and avoid further liability they refused to accept my advice and so I removed myself from the case. They then retained yet another attorney to represent them, including through an appeal, and they lost the appeal. I do not fault their appellate attorney for this outcome as he was stuck with the client's bad decisions made before litigation ever ensued. In short, this is a sour grapes review by a person who has a history of attacking people on the internet that she has issues with. Notwithstanding that, I don't hold any grudges and I wish her well.
