I really appreciated the support Gary and his staff gave me during a difficult time.

Several years ago I got sick on the job in my workplace. It was a difficult situation for me because I knew that the problem had been caused by my employer not really taken care of the work environment. I ended up having surgery and have had respiratory problems ever since. Initially I was hesita...nt to call a lawyer because I did not want problems with my employer. My co-workers encouraged me to contact a lawyer and I did contact another lawyer who said I did not have a case and treated me very dismissively. After that negative experience I waited a few weeks and gave Gary's office a call and I was immediately impressed by the sympathy shown to me by his staff. His aide was very supportive and immediately got all the paperwork to me to sign and was empathetic with me during the process. The rest of the process was also difficult for me because I am not in the legal profession and I'm not used to dealing with those kinds of things. Gary help me understand the situation and come to me when I felt worried. He also was very persistent during times when the other parties were not cooperating. There was even a moment when I believed that I was not going to get anything out of this situation. Because of Gary's that occasion I did get a nice settlement and have been able to invest that money knowing that it will be there for me in the future if I need it. I am very grateful to the law offices of Jackson and Jackson and would recommend them to anyone who has been injured on the job.

Like pulling teeth

I consulted with Gary. Our initial phone conversation took place with him being at his home while under construction with very loud background noise. He didn’t even step outside the house. I felt from the conversation, he wasn’t entirely interested in the well-being of the person, rather in the value... of the case for him. He either has 20 receptionists or just an answering service. The majority of my subsequent phone calls did not get acknowledged. One of them informing him that my mom had passed away, another call, wondering why my replied email to him bounced back. He initially said via an email he would like to represent me and gave me a list of questions to answer with what I considered to be proprietary information. I asked him if I could upload it in his app, however, that was only for people that he had an agreement to work with. He never bothered to reply to my email with my answered questions. To be fair, it took me a while to answer his questions, due to the loss of my mother and traveling to her burial. When you are injured and struggling for justice and struggling to become a whole person again, you want a lawyer that has your back, or in my case, who has your head, neck, shoulder, and arm. You want a lawyer that cares about helping you get your life back to as close a possible to pre-injury. Mr. Jackson may have mastered the art of collecting as many possible candidates, but he has not mastered the art of human decency, kindness, empathy, or compassion. In fact, his initial emails were very positive and they quickly turned very sour with rudeness and dismay and ultimately total avoidance. My recommendation to him would be instead of having 20 receptionists or an answering service, to actually invest in a personal assistant or secretaries that actually can help him with the ability to communicate on his behalf for the benefit of advancing the client and case. One person cannot be in 1000 places at once.

Uncommunicative

Inbeen sending emails to mr. Jackson and still have not reapomded to me yet since apr the 6th . he changed the settlement amount to lesser than i deserved. I just saw that someone got 1million and something thousand for permanent disability and future medical and is unfair what they offered.me . he ...ignores all my calls dont keeo me updated and time is running out. I felt alone after the first two years since he low offered my case and rejected a small settlement thrown for my case without my consent . i really am so close to rraching out to the BAR and show all my emails of proof that responses are always late and when i do get a reply is for another thing that could have been done the first time he asked for those things .. Think about it and be at your own risk since this.is my honest ans simcere review to this lawfirm . one thing i know is that if you do good for people you get good back so it has me womdering if this lawfirm still is a running business.. Professional misconduct

This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority in 2015.

Discipline, Probation; no Actual Suspension issued in CA, 2015

updated on 05/05/2016

This sanction means the attorney had a suspension placed on hold (and ultimately removed) by complying with certain requirements.

Gary’s comment:

“Client moved to Sacramento area and wanted a local attorney. A substitution of attorney was sent to client to sign and return. Client never returned the substitution of attorney. our office inadvertently indicated her case was closed in our database. Therefore we did not respond to a Petitin to dismiss her case. Case was dismissed without prejudice and we are reinstating her case with no adverse affect to client. Client has requested that we continue to represent her.”
