I am dedicated to solving problems for clients in the most effective and efficient manner possible. I take a creative approach to each case based on the facts and unique needs of each client. I am a strong negotiator and am well repected by the courts and colleagues alike. I make every effort to solve problems for clients before involving the courts in order to reduce the costs of litigation. When court is necessary I perform well in the courtroom and under pressure. I provide my clients with an honest assessment of their case, even if that means telling them something that they may not want to hear. I am accustomed to delivering successful results for my clients.

Straight Shooter with Upfront Pricing.
Denise Furubotten has been practicing family law for 26 years and is extremely knowledgeable and thorough. She takes into account whether a decision/motion is worth the clients’ funds and is straight forward about it. So far I’m pleased with how my case is going.

Horrible
I would never Recommend Denise Furubotten of Access Legal Group. I hired her for my divorce and it was the worst experience of my entire life. I went through over 70,000 dollars and she quit on me when I needed her the most . She was very rude any time I questioned her on anything and whenever I ask...
We don't like it when a client is unhappy with our services and we do everything in our power to make our clients happy. Unfortunately there are times when we can no longer continue to represent certain clients. Attorneys cannot comment about the specifics of a particular client even when a client chooses to post false information about the attorney. I therefore cannot comment on the specific issues with this particular client. What I can say is that we have a long standing policy of using written retainer agreements with every client we represent. These written agreements set forth the obligations of both the attorney and the client. The agreements set forth all details of our billing, representation and termination of our representation. We bill all of our clients monthly and provide invoices to all clients. This is something that is part of our written agreement with all clients. We don't threaten to quit on clients who want detailed invoices. They are entitled to detailed invoices because we have included that right as part of our written agreement with all clients. Concerning money held in trust for any of our clients, we handle all funds pursuant to our written agreements with our clients. In my 20 years of practice I have never been "ordered" by a court to release funds to a client. Clients don't need orders because we follow our written agreements and disperse any funds according to the written agreement with the client. It is often the unfortunate circumstance that some clients do not want to follow the written agreements we have with them. In a situation where the decision is made to stop representing a particular client, the client is always given warning about the particular issues causing problems with continued representation and always offered a chance to resolve those issues directly with our firm. When the issues cannot be resolved and we can no longer act in the best interest of the client, we are ethically required to withdraw from further representation. We do not take those decisions lightly and we do our best to avoid such decisions. In the circumstance where we must withdraw from representation it is not uncommon for the disgruntled client to make demands to our firm that is contrary to our written agreement with the client. Even in that circumstance it is our policy to remind the client of the terms of our written agreement. Attorneys are governed by the State Bar of California and the Business and Professions Code. A disgruntled client may choose to make false claims against me or my firm but my spotless record with the State Bar after 20 years of service to the public speaks for itself and I will let those clients who have given positive reviews of my dedicated and skilled service speak for me.

Worst Experience
I retained her for a simple divorce case. She made it look complex and charged me lot of money for documentation which was not required in my case and kept me uninformed on what she was working on my case. I only came to know about it only when she sent me a huge bill. Her documentation was not usefu...
"I endorse this lawyer. As a family law attorney and one who opposed Ms. Furubotten in a matter, I can say with authority that Ms. Furubotten is extremely talented, prepared, thorough, knowledgeable, and a fierce advocate for her clients--a rare combination. I would personally use her as my attorney."
"I endorse this lawyer. She is thorough, diligent, honest and fair. Although she is a tough litigator, her word is her bond."

I was successful in having the California case dismissed against my client and obtained a financial sanctions award against the wife for filing in California.
I was successful in having all of the real property assets awarded to my client and the spousal support was less than one half of what is should have been.
My client was awarded custody of his 1 year old son.
