Scott represented our Homeowner's Association as we were dealing with a defective construction issue. He met with our Board of Directors and explained in detail what scenarios could occur and what options we had since this was a complex case. He was up front and honest. Scott was very knowledgeable and approachable. He and his firm did an excellent job representing us and it was a pleasure working with him.
Thank you Scott and Associates!
As a Board member for our community, I worked with Scott to resolve a contract/negligence lawsuit. I came to the Board after Scott had been retained to represent our community, but the opportunities I had to meet with Scott, get questions answered, and receive input on future direction, helped me to make informed decisions. Scott always provided thoughtful insights on what would work best for our community, recognizing that ultimately the decisions rested with us, the Board. I, for one, appreciate all that he did to bring this suit to resolution.

42 years, 100 cases
My practice focuses on construction defect litigation in California, Nevada, and Arizona. I have recouped well over $200 million in settlement and trial verdicts for my clients over the last 30 years.
Typically, my clients are homeowner associations and individual homeowners. I have been very successful in using mediation in lieu of litigation to resolve construction defect claims for a number of condominium projects and planned unit developments. I am personally involved in attending site inspections, board meetings, mediations, and trials. Further, I have presented over 100 legal seminars for property management companies and their boards of directors on construction defect, condominium law, and related issues. I am active in promoting legislation protecting consumers and a member of Arizona Trial Lawyers Association, Community Associations Institute, Arizona Association of Community Managers, and Consumer Attorneys of California.

Great Firm - Great Results
Scott met with our Homeowner Association’s Board of Directors and took the time to walk us through the various options that we had with a construction defect situation. He was clear on what options we had and costs we would incur during the process. He under promised and over delivered. The Associates in his firm were knowledgeable and were able to skirt through the various technical issues in the case. His firm delivered what we considered was a fair settlement for our situation. Job well done! Board President

"Scott has been a strong advocate for homeowners and community associations for many years. He really cares about getting the best result for each homeowner he represents. His clients are fortunate to have him as their attorney.
Scott's efforts have been integral in developing consumer protection law for homeowners in California and other western states, and he has been a leader among attorneys in this area of the law.
A great many attorneys who represent homeowners and community associations, including myself, developed their experience, skills and ethics with Scott as their mentor."
