I was referred to Ms. Adams by another attorney in this office. I spoke to Ms. Adams at great length about my special needs child and the fact my attorney at that time was not helping me and I desperately needed someone who could help. When I went to retrieve some paperwork from my then attorney. I f...ound out that Ms. Adams had discussed my calling her to an office worker At a loss for words I managed to get out of that office. At that time I believed that Ms. Adams would be calling me back to help me as she said she would. With that understanding I never dreamed she would discuss my talking to her with anyone let alone my then current attorneys office. Not only did this cause me even more distress about my case but put an even more uneasiness with my then attorney and I. Please make sure you do your homework. I know for me I was desperate to have someone help me. I was given a false sense of security with Ms. Adams when I called her she went over all the ways she might have a conflict and once that was cleared up she then talked to me. I believed that when you speak to an attorney it is confidential. Sadly, Ms. Adams does not hold to that belief. Perhaps, it is just business as usual in small towns and there is no measure of confidentiality. Even though this states Irvine California for her practice this happened in Toledo Ohio.
