Zachary Michael Schwartz

Zachary M. Schwartz, a partner at Scott & Whitehead, brings extensive expertise in employment law. With 13 years defending the County of Orange, the sixth largest U.S. county, he handled employment and civil rights litigation, advising diverse departments and achieving consistent results. His practice now focuses on representing businesses resolving harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and wage disputes through skilled negotiation or litigation, including trials. He has experience handling appeals in California and the Ninth Circuit. He has also drafted briefs for the U.S. Supreme Court.

As a trusted advisor, Mr. Schwartz builds strong client relationships, guiding them through complex workplace issues with clarity and empathy. His litigation experience informs his role as a neutral third-party investigator for workplace misconduct, offering employers a seasoned perspective shaped by trials and plaintiff strategies. A cum laude graduate of the University of Southern California (B.S., Business Administration), Mr. Schwartz earned the Outstanding Undergraduate Marketing Student award. He graduated magna cum laude from Chapman University’s Fowler School of Law, ranking second in his class. While there, he served as a Senior Articles Editor on Law Review and mediated cases for Riverside County Superior Court. He later taught civil procedure as an adjunct faculty member at Chapman.
