Mr Art Hausmann (or Art is he likes to be called), is your go to neighborhood personal injury lawyer. The minute you meet or speak to him over the phone, you right away feel like you are speaking with a family member who is there to listen and help. You never get the feeling you are talking to a lawy...er who has no time to listen to you, Art not only listens as long as needed but if you ever call him after hours or leave a message for him, he calls back right away from his cell, no matter what time of day it is. My wife and I were hit at a red light by a teenager and our brand new car was near totaled (40K worth of damages). The body shop and insurance wanted to repair the car and take 2 - 3 months to do that, and we were horrified by knowing the car was brand new and we have to drive it after 40K of repairs. Art got on the phone with the insurance adjuster and by some miracle convinced them to total the car. Because of Art, we were able to get enough money back to pay off the loan, and put a down payment on a new car. What other attorney would take the time to do that? Not many. By the way, my advice is also to never call those infomercials you see all the time about car accidents or personal injury lawyers as you will never speak to the lawyer advertised, but a contracted lawyer they work with who is most likely not very experienced and works on a volume basis. He also hired one of the best mediators in orange county to mediate our case with the insurance company as they were being very insensitive to our case. With the help of the mediator Art hired, and his extensive phone calls to the insurance company who was treating our case like nothing had happened, at the end we paid off our medical bills and were able to walk away with a decent sum of money, that was double what we expected after seeing how horrible the insurance adjuster was. Once again, and I want to stress this, from the time I contacted him to our very last conversation, I felt as if I was speaking/working with a family member, not a random lawyer. He also does Bankruptcies from what I know. Give him a try, you won't regret it, and you will feel like you were taken care of like family which is the most one can ask from a lawyer. I was driving south in my car on a local side street. After stopping at a 4 way intersection stop sign, I pulled into the intersection. A young man driving a utility van (headed east) , ran the stop sign and drove into the driver the side of my car.
