I worked with Saul Gelbart with assistance from Doug. Prior to Saul, I was in a divorce with a very difficult person and the case was out of control and expenses were piling up. After much research, I switched to Saul based on a professional recommendation. Saul went to work and had an immediate imp...act on cleaning up the mess. Saul brought such a level of professionalism to the case that I had always hoped for. Issues were not allowed to spiral out of control. One of the things i learned in this process is that most lawyers are not good in a court room situation. They do not know what to say or do. Most lawyers seem to encourage on the back-and-forth spousal arguments that generate fees but go no where, and they hope to settle prior to court. Saul was a master in the courtroom. He was fully prepared to the point of scripting out his approach. He knew the rules. He worked the courtroom like a skilled conductor of an orchestra. Saul brought order and sanity to my case. The days we had in court, we won the battle of the day, and this, along with Saul's brilliance and attention to detail and strategy, lead to driving the other side to settle. Saul and his team were very professional and great to work through on my contentious divorce. He had a strong grasp of complex financial issues that other attorneys I consulted did not. My case involved arguing complex financial concepts and information in front of a private judge and Saul excelled ...at doing so and presenting it in a way the judge could understand. Like the reviewer below, I too have worked with many lawyers over the course of my professional career. Saul is a straight shooter. If your case sucks, he's going to tell you that it does in the most professional way possible and then he'll tell you what he can try to do about it to help you, but s...helling out top dollar for a great attorney is not a guarentee in the court room that you'll get your way. However, with that said, I've seen Saul find ways around issues that three other lawyers have told me is impossible. For me, Saul was great to work with. My case was complex with many issues. He told me what battles were worth fighting for and which ones were best to put aside so that overall, I would come out better in the end. That's the kind of attorney I want. I would recommend him to any level headed person I know who has a divorce issue.
