Peter J. Porter

I don't normally review professionals, but I feel the need to protect the OC community from the law offices of Peter Porter. This man is a joke. On multiple occasions, their office has sent the opposing counsel files for a completely different divorce matter, misspelled names on critical documents, a...nd lied about reaching out to opposing counsel in a timely matter (when asked to send forwarded emails because their office claims they did not receive documents, Porter's office sent over confusing screenshots of a probably-doctored email, as it is clear it was never delivered to their inbox on time). What a mess. Get someone competent.

I have hired Porter to represent me in my divorce. What I write did happen, these are honest facts, can be esirly verified by documents. Porter never fought for me, my knowledge at that time of the law and English was at minimum. I felt even then that something is not right but I had to trust him a...nd I could afford more money to hire another attorney. This man not only did not represent me but he was bought off by my ex. I remember finding a document that would be a vital information that would help me in my divorce but Porter never even mentioned it once during the process. Sitting outside the courtroom, I remember seeing a Judge that looked at me and said to Porter:" I hope you know what you are doing" and with a stroke of a pen I find myself living int the streets with two kids , in a car, in the park. In divorce papers it was stipulated that I will recieve $400.00 per month for 4 years for a long term 13 year old marriage. I also would get half of roll over pension that I could not touch. Back then my ex worked for airspace company was making over $150,000.00 a year. I was making $18,000 and was housewife with two kids. By the time, I got myself back on my own after years of struggling, I wanted to find him and see his face, I finally found him online . I wanted to asked why. I even wrote Supreme Court. But statue of limitations kicked in a while back. So looking back at my years of struggle I can say hiring Porter was a mistake of my life . So please choose carefully.

Mr. Porter did an incredible job for me in my divorce settlement. He handled everything in a very professional manner and took the stress out of my life. He is a very sharp and highly respected attorney. The judge complemented him on his calm demeanor and professionalism in a highly volatile situa...tion. He handled the child custody smoothly, which resulted in a very favorable resolution on my behalf. I would highly recommend Mr. Porter for his ability to be successful for his client and his fairness in fees. I am truly grateful.

Mr. Porter is a very responsible and reliable Family Law and Civil Litigation attorney. He has represented me on several occasions and has won EVERY time! He is the most knowledgeable and respectable attorney I have used. He is diligent and resourceful and is one attorney who goes the extra mile f...or you. He has an exemplary reputation as an attorney, with his peers and from the Judges. He has also represented friends and family matters in both divorce, family law issues and in Civil Litigation matters. I would highly recommend Mr. Porter for any legal matters. I felt his fees were reasonable and realistic and far less than other attorney's I researched.
