Dennis Patrick Gaughan

I hired Dennis Gaughan for a DV case and I couldn’t have been any more impressed with him and the case’s outcome. He is very well connected with the players in the DA’s office as he was an ADA himself in Orange County. These relationships open up the possibility of negotiations and discussions regard...ing the possibility of a plea deal. My experience with him was in the Harbor Court in Newport Beach in which he is very well known. He has tried everything from Capital Murder cases all the way down to DUI cases. He is listed on the courts list of certified experienced attorneys that the court can use to farm out cases to when the Judge needs a better attorney than the public defenders office can provide. I did my research on Dennis and hopefully this review helps you save time in your research.

6/15/2020 I hired Dennis to assist with a legal matter for my son who was away at college and had a medical emergency. While ambulance was taking my son to the hospital the police stretched the search and seizure laws where they found a fake ID and Dennis swiftly had the case dismissed. I have read ...the reviews and can't believe how people can hide behind their keyboard and write garbage about another man's character. Furthermore, I have referred Dennis to a half dozen other friends with minor legal criminal issues and he exceeded their expectations as well. FIVE STARS to Dennis P. Gaughan for being fair, honest and doing the right thing by my son and the people I've referred to him. He is a solid man and gives sound legal advice.

I'd give no stars if i could. Avoid at all costs. He is rarely in the office, does not answer emails or phone calls, and doesn't do anything on time. He promised me something would be prepared and ready at a certain time, so i went into his office to pick it up. He did not know what i was refe...rring to when i asked for the document, after i told him what i was there for, he went to his office to quickly type something up, and handed it to me as if it was in his office the whole time. The support staff is the same as the attorney, they are never available by phone or email. I have made numerous phone calls and sent God only knows how many emails and haven't spoken to him since he accepted my last payment.
