Ms. Nakasaka has been a serial entrepreneur for over 37 years. She's been an attorney since December of 1996. She has been a real estate investor for over 30 years. Ms. Nakasaka has extensive real estate investing experience and has been actively involved in multi-million dollar real estate development projects.
Her initial experience as an attorney has been in intellectual property law. Ms. Nakasaka has consulted innumerable businesses with trademarks; trade secrets; and copyrights. She has also assisted start-up businesses with everything from business plans to obtaining funding from angel investors as well as venture capitalists.
In November of 2004, Ms. Nakasaka, with the assistance of a co-counsel, argued and submitted to theUnited States Court of Appeals Ninth Circuit regarding a complex trademark infringement case in which there was a successful jury verdict of $5.9 million. That argument became a published opinion: Watec Co., Ltd. v. Liu, 403 F. 3d 645 - Court of Appeals, 9th Circuit 2005
Ms. Nakasaka believes in pragmatic approaches to complex issues. She considers resolving matters expeditiously and amicably to the extent possible. She understands that litigations are costly and can be mentally taxing to the client, and she resorts to litigation only after careful consideration that it is in the best interest of the client.
Effective January of 2021, she has decided to leave litigation and focus only on Estate Planning and Asset Protection. She currently works with Inter Vivos, PLLC with head office in Utah.
