J.C. Flores

A member of the California bar since 2008, I have trial and appellate experience in both state and federal court. Among my recent victories are a $744,000 judgment in a real estate/securities fraud case, a $340,000 settlement in a bankruptcy case, and a $50,000 settlement in a professional negligence case. I began my career as a reporter for the Los Angeles Business Journal and was a successful corporate communications director while I attended law school at night at Southwestern Law School. I hold a B.A. in political science from Stanford University.

My background includes work at Southern California Edison, KCET-TV and the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF), where I garnered national attention for Gonzalez v. Abercrombie, an employment discrimination case  with a $51 million , and Flores v. Albertsons, a wage/hour case with a $24 million settlement.

I am a licensed real estate broker and have held a Series 7 (stockbroker’s) license and a California casualty and life insurance license. I have served on the boards of several non-profit organizations.
