Lauren was recommended to me by a coworker that went through a contentious divorce and “won.” Upon my first contact with her, I had a feeling I was in good hands. From day one Lauren and her staff were excellent, keeping me updated on what was going on while not wasting time causing unnecessary bill...ing. When my day in court came, in my opinion she made my ex’s attorney look like a novice even though he’s been practicing family law for almost 30 years. I, as Petitioner, engaged Ms. Patterson's legal counsel over the course of two years of lengthy, intense and often contentious court battles with a non-cooperative, meddling, trouble-making co-parent, the Respondent, on matters of custody, co-parenting, healthcare decisions, expense-sharing, alienati...on, unilateralism and lack of transparency regarding child-rearing. I've always felt that being the father in these matters puts one at a disadvantage because there actually is a natural bias in favor of the mom on the part of the courts, and the burden of proof (and perception) rests more heavily with the dad. Partly because of her successful involvement in my situation, I doubt I'll ever again need the help of a Family Court lawyer - the court sided with us in every decision!
