Caution! Not Litigators!

Retained Company after becoming Administrator in Pro Per to file 850 Petition and recover assets for probate in March 2021. They filed an incomplete 850 Petition which had to be corrected and refiled by another law firm, after the Judge asked for additional information. Never even asked for an inven...tory or Trust accounting, ever. The invoices however, never stopped. After 2.5 years they recovered $0 and charged over $50,000 in fees.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND USING THIS ATTORNEY FOR ANY OF YOUR LEGAL MATTERS. ESPECIALLY NOT PROBATE.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND USING THIS ATTORNEY FOR ANY OF YOUR LEGAL MATTERS. ESPECIALLY NOT PROBATE. If you are looking for a COMPETENT LEGAL FIRM, PLEASE LOOK ELSE WHERE and DO NOT USE KYLE A. PATRICK OR ANY PARTNERS FROM HIS FIRM. The only reason I am posting on this site, is because here is where I fo...und Mr. Patrick's firm and I believe that AVVO and it's affiliates should be aware of how our case was handled by a firm listed on their referral site. NOTE: The following is my opinion and I only want other to be aware. In my opinion, Mr. Patrick and his firm charged us high legal fees only to give us POOR and incorrect LEGAL ADVICE, which subsequently caused us to loose our case. With this firm, it’s all about the money, and not doing their best legal work for their clients. My daughter hired Mr. Patrick to handle a highly sensitive probate matter. She had to file a Probate Court claim in order to prevent her family inheritance from being stolen by complete strangers, that had managed to befriend my mother-in-law and steal property and personal belongs from my children; her grandchildren. We meet with Mr. Patrick and discussed the matter with him and explained to him that we were already in the Probate Court process and how time sensitive the matter was. He told us what he though would be the best thing for us to do to rectify the matter. We paid him for a one-time day in court to see if he could take on our case. He quoted us his rates; my daughter agreed and singed a contract. We were told that after the day in court he would meet with us to discuss what the next step would be. As of the morning of our court appearance, we had not spoken directly to Mr. Patrick for two weeks. We had tried on several occasions to reach out to him, but he was NEVER available for a client conference. NOT even over the phone. We received ONE phone call, from one of the partners the day before court. The morning of our court appearance Mr. Patrick seemed lost and confused. HE WAS NOT PREPARED WHAT SO EVER. He was so nervous and uneasy, that it made the entire experience uncomfortable and unbearably difficult for my daughter. He was completely tongue-tied in court. He just stood there and hardly spoke at all. It was as if he had not studies our case file and HE HAD NO IDEA WHAT WAS GOING ON WITH OUR CASE. It was as if he really did not fully understand the importance of such a sensitive case in the first place. Even the Judge was hard on him and seemed to display a bit of dislike towards him. Needless to say…HE/we LOST THE CASE. Not only did he loose the case for us, WE were also slapped with a fine to pay the opposing sides court fees by the Judge. We followed his advice and he quoted us one price, but after losing in court, Mr. Patrick had his partner meet with us and raise the previous quote by more than double the original quote, in order for him to even consider proceeding. We felt “bated” by this firm, and then Mr. Patrick had his partner “switch” on us. He did not even bother to attend the meeting. By changing the previous quote to a much higher price, this would assure them that we would NOT be able to afford his services and force us to seek legal advise else where. Never mind the fact that we had already paid him to loose our case, and got slapped with a fine…Ultimately by wasting valuable time with Mr. Patrick and his firm, my children also lost their family’s inheritance in the process.
