My financial planner recommended Jennifer Daniel for estate planning after another local attorney cashed my check and abandoned the process. She has completely exceeded my expectations. This wasn't just a fill-in-the-blank process on a generic template. She took the time to get to know me before she ever generated the documents. All of my concerns were addressed and she helped me understand potential issues to which I had not given adequate - if any - consideration. Have worked with a variety of different attorneys over the years. Jennifer has been easily the most effective, focused and consistent in temperament and strategic in approach of all. I was in a contentious conservator case with a difficult ex-wife which handicapped me due to our past history that te...sted me to maintain perspective and be patient. As I experience Jennifer's declarations before the court - they were highly professional (tightly written), deep in her understanding of both my situation while anticipating and framing issues effectively that allowed the court to understand my and my special-needs daughter's desires for our relationship. In the face of my obstinate and uncooperative ex-wife, Jennifer was able to move not only my ex-wife off her strident positions but she had the additional challenge to convince a judge who normally did not wish to mandate visitation compliance... to work with us. Securing the judges engagement on visitation took patience, perseverance and cooperative work with the court appointed attorney for my daughter to truly see the opportunities that were best for my daughter. She moved my daughter's attorney from not seeing the value in my request to becoming an advocate of me before the court and my ex-wife's attorney. No small task! The non-compromising position of my ex-wife pushed my case to an evidentiary hearing before the judge. Her guidance to me and the clarity of her questions to the witnesses and myself were spot-on to the salient points we were after. Which the court responded affirmatively to. The bottom-line. Jennifer earned my complete trust and confidence in judgement. She also brought her compassion and empathy that was real and proven. She is amazing. My encouragement is that you as a potential client provide clear information stripped out of any emotional leftovers you might have. If you do your engagement will be eminently satisfying thanks to the exemplary skills she brings to the task. Did I prevail? Not quite. We secured a court order that allows me to continue my relationship with my daughter almost exactly as I had hoped - unfortunately my ex-wife still is throwing roadblocks. I had some matters having to do with real estate and a family trust that I put off handling for quite a few years. It was really complicated and I couldn't begin to sort it all out. I know the thought of retaining an attorney seems expensive and scary. It is hard to make the decision to get expert ...help (unless it is an emergency).
