David Leon Wilkirson

I signed a contract w/David in June this year (2009)- David was to assist me with a divorce (my husband was the petitioner). To make a long story as short as possible- I was never provided w/ a direct number for David. All my calls had to go through his secretary (Ann). When I left messages it wou...ld sometimes take days for a return call. The communication was worse than poor. My husband and I decided to reconcile and I requested David cancel our hearing. David waited WEEKS before cancelling and did not answer my emails/phone calls requesting confirmation that he did indeed cancel the hearing. I finally received a voicemail the night before the scheduled hearing. I was also told he had been trying to contact me....but I did not miss any calls (or have any prior voicemails) from him (or his secretary). I was also very shocked when I received my third invoice from his office - the charges listed on the invoice were bogus! He charged me for research I never requested....and I don't even know how he would have researched such items. I believe he was trying to eat up the remaining retainer $ he had in his hands. I have requested multiple times the documentation of this so-called "research"- I still have not been provided any. He phoned me on two occasions regarding my invoice concern....However, he kept claiming he didn't have copies of the invoice w/him and stated his "wife" made up some invoices for him and they might not be correct. I asked him to return my call once he had the invoice in front of him- he called me back a week or so later -STILL NO INVOICE IN FRONT OF HIM TO REVIEW. This Lawyer is typical- ALL HE WANTS IS YOUR $. I don't have one positive thing to say about him (or his secretary)! Pick a different lawyer!
