I hired Thomas Watkins to file a chapter 7 for me. After paying cash and waiting for over a year for the BK to be filed he admitted that he didnt have the $335 to file my case and asked if he. Could borrow another $335 from me or he couldnt file the case since he already spent the $2000 I already gav...e him. He showed up an hour late to the hearing and did not have the documents required. He also did not file the motion to remove 2 liens from my peoperty. He does not return calls texts or emails. I have turned him into the CA BAR and submitted an application for reembursment throught the CA BAR. Do NOT hire him.

Mr. Watkins was professional and informative throughout my divorce proceedings. The ex. hired a wakko from Rancho Cucamonga who literally tried to change CA precedence law regarding step father providing child support without any legal binding to the children (Who I loved and attempted to adopt but B...i-Polar mom and drug abusing/alcoholic birth father denied). Anyway, Watkins helped guide me through the myriad of legal issues and ended up saving me a boatload since I was pretty much clueless on the legal procedures of CA child support law. Thank you Tom! The entire divorce took almost two years but I shudder to think what my current situation would have been like without his assistance during the divorce.

Just found this Avvo site so my review is a bit late. I used Mr. Watkins in 1993 for a bankruptcy. Mr. Watkins walked me through the process and saved my a##. At the time I was a general contractor and had a double whammy with the economy going south and HUD wanting to sue over a construction issue,... where if I had the funds know I would have won in a court of law. But Tom help take the pressure off. BK is not something one wants to go through, but it is in place for a reason. Don't hesitate if your financial fate has changed. Some people get caught in the why did it happen to me, and kind of shut down, Tom helped walk me through the process.
