Michael Anthony Garcia

I spoke to. Michael Garcia several times about issues with a moving company in MD (where he supposedly practiced) and sent him copies of all of the information I had relating to the moving company and my problems. He told me he didn’t think I would need to sue but thought there’s were enough violat...ions that all he would need to do is talk to them. My cost would be only $400 if no suit. I agreed and, tho not immediately, sent him the requested information. After that I have been unable to contact him. He has not returned my calls, or emails neither did he return my daughter’s call. This was about a year ago. I left messages and even said that “as a professional” he owed me the curtesy to tell me why he would not work with me. I am now working with the office of the Maryland Attorney General trying to resolve problems that according to Michael Garcia he could have easily resolved a year ago.

I initially found Michael to be well informed and pleasant, but came to have major reservations about his firm's degree of organization, professionalism, and ethics. Having worked with several attorneys in the past, I found Michael Garcia to be a unique experience. He provided a bit of guidance at... the outset that I found helpful. Then he was going to look at some information I sent over and said he would get back to me after the weekend. The weekend came and went, and so I reached out. Then again a month later. Then a couple months after that. He simply vanished: didn't answer the phone, return calls at his office, or respond to emails. I thought ghosting was just a thing the kids do to each other on Tinder, but apparently it is in fashion among legal "professionals" as well! I can only guess at his reasoning for this: perhaps his caseload grew too overwhelming, maybe he decided he didn't want to work on my case but didn't fell like letting me know, or maybe he decided to work for my opposition and is now conflicted and can't speak with me. In my past experience, a lawyer who was not equipped to take a case -- or simply didn't want to -- would let me know that, and perhaps refer me to another attorney who could. Not Michael Garcia. The time I spent explaining the situation to Michael Garcia and waiting for him to get back to me is now wasted, our progress in the legal case delayed, and I'm back at ground zero looking for attorneys who specializes in this area of law. Based on my own experience, I cannot recommend this firm.
