Truly Outstanding! Highly Professional, Caring and Concerned

There are few words that can capture the true loyalty and the steadfast, focused attention and dedication shown by Roy Doppelt and his exceptional Team of Consummate Professionals. From our first meeting in 2023, my respect and appreciation for Roy's unwavering commitment has only been eclipsed ...by his genuine kindness and concern for me. Having sustained traumatic brain injury, getting divorced only made life more complicated. Exclusive of the time or any activity, upon entering the office, it has always been very clear, that I was the most important person in the room. Immediately grasping my stress and anxiety, Roy was very direct, when he told me, "You. Are more important than the money...to All of us." Roy's professional acumen and personal knowledge of California Family Law and San Diego courts would be regarded as incomparable, as he personally and very tactfully guided a Court assigned mediation attorney through the final marriage settlement conference to a same day divorce! With no alimony or other conditions, my relief was immediate and has indeed been Life altering. Whether engaging Team Doppelt's Receptionist, David, Attorney Neftali Morales or Paralegal Tanya Broussard, I always felt better leaving than when I had first arrived. They have been a true Blessing. As a retired, disabled Marine Officer, my gratitude is endless. Roy and his exceptional Staff consistently have gone above and beyond to help me in every way possible. With my respect and best regards, they have earned my highest recommendation. Thank you again for everything.

Sleazy and unorganized

Roy Doppelt was grossly unprepared during court hearings. So much so, I almost felt sorry for my ex-husband who he hired to represent him. My attorney ate him for lunch and it left my ex worse off than when he started. He immediately fired Roy to seek new counsel. Roy’s attempts to go for the jugular..., play dirty and act like a big shot, ended up shooting my ex in the foot. Not to mention he has no problem fabricating horrific stories and situations in a scummy way to get a leg up in the case (ie, the Silver Bullet offense). In the end, the judge saw through his tactics and reversed all prior orders against me. He has zero integrity and can’t effectively litigate, so he decides to just throw out untruths to muddy the waters. He’s why divorce attorneys have a bad name. He is inept, unorganized, and dubious. Don’t fall for his “nice guy” demeanor or placating tone of voice. He is a snake.

TRO granted against you by Judge Torres [Aug 2023] after your arrest. You were NOT my client. You were the opposing party. I represented your ex husband in 2022/2023/2024 and documented in the San Diego Superior Court Register of Action. Court file available to public for review

$26,226 for a lot of heartache

In order for Roy Doppelt to decide whether he wanted to take my case, he had me provide him a copy of the six-volume court file. I organized everything into binders with hundreds of tabs marking the docs. After reading my file, he decided not to represent me in court but agreed to help me with an up...coming trial. He then decided to removed all the docs from binders, remove my hundreds of tabs and Post-It notes, and put the docs in a box, out of order, turned around, upside down -- when I have an upcoming trial and REALLY need those docs organized. When I expressed my disappointment, he told me I can have another attorney re-tab it. So basically, I paid Roy $8,226 to review my file, say no, and remove my many hours of file organization, AND I will need to pay another attorney to re-organize it. Also, I had an ex parte matter where I needed someone in the office to verify with a judge that I incurred many legal fees regarding an issue. The task would have only taken 20 minutes to review an invoice and testify remotely. An attorney reviewed my pleadings but was supposedly told by Roy to not respond. I lost the $10K case simply because I did not have that witness. Not only that, I requested five times for their $295 attorney fee to be removed, but Roy refused. I paid $295 for zero response, which caused my loss of $10K. So basically, Roy cost me $8,226, $295, $10,000 + another $8K for another attorney to make sense of my disorganized file. That's $26,226.

Trusted Attorney, always calm, logical, and reasonable

As a non-native speaker in the field of science for more than 10 years, I do strongly recommend my family attorney Mr. Roy M. Doppelt and his helpful staff, to anyone who is looking for a helpful and outstanding family attorney for divorce. Roy is always calm, always confident, always fair/objective,... always logical, always reasonable, always responsible, always sharp, and always giving the best suggestions and teaching good mentality with easy-access language to mentor his clients to stand solidly in the court. Those traits also make him as a highly respected attorney by the Judges and peers. If you are looking for a powerful attorney who cares about his client's finance at the same time, Roy is the attorney of choice for the settlement, unlike other attorneys that encourage unnecessary fighting to make more money. Roy and I worked together for three years to handle my complex divorce case, which could be one of extremely complex divorce cases in his attorney life. The end of my case was a settlement desired with what Roy won for me from my ex, as resource to restore my professional ability and career in the future. During this three-year period, Roy and I successfully made all my ex's motions, depositions, and hearings failed by providing sufficient evidence and guidance while I was exhausted due to my sophisticate health problems. His calmness and confidence not only soothed my stress and irritation in the courtroom and from legal actions by the opposing side, but also brought me back on track to focus and logical discussion. When I was too sick to respond Roy and my ex's attorney in time, he could handle alone very smoothly. Additionally, he always sends me copies of everything, always responds in every conversation, and always explains clearly, concisely, and precisely. Hence, I could quickly catch the key points of the situations, strategies, risk, and legal knowledge. Finally, I am not a native speaker. But, for me, his communication was not only friendly and professional, but also easily accessible. It facilitated everything and my learning from the beginning to the end. Learning and working together with him definitely improved my mental toughness and decision making for the better outcomes. Besides of Roy, his helpful staff save us much time on document preparation and retrieving. Also, his staff gave me good (not legal) suggestions to protect me at the level of personal relationship, which helped my case indirectly. It is my pleasure to have such a well-organized supporting team as well as friends to take care of my case and my life. There is no 100% guarantee to get dream outcomes but reasonable expectations depending on the current condition. I felt very satisfied with the settlement including my child custody, my global support, and my assets. Learned from Roy, the accumulated legal knowledge, strategic mind, and calmness, as building blocks, achieved our goals again and again. Taken together, being calm, confident, logical, professional, reasonable, sharp, objective to evaluate each situation and mentor clients, responsible and supportive to both attorney and client sides and the team in the firm, those factors concerted perfectly to lead to a desired ending. That is why Roy did a good job every time. Thank Roy and everyone in his firm so much, for all your effort to protect my rights, and win the resource for my returning to science.
