Biography
Attorney Tracy J. Jones has been a civil litigator since she graduated from California Western School of Law in 2008. She got her start at Nicholas & Tomasevic, LLP prosecuting wage and hour and consumer protection class actions, Fair Debt Collection Practices and insurance bad faith cases, construction defect suits, and business disputes for corporate clients. There, she helped secure a $9 million settlement for 400+ organized security guards who were deprived of overtime, meal periods, and rest breaks.
In 2016, Tracy joined the firm of Hayes, Ortega & Sanchez, LLP where she discovered her passion for representing labor unions and their members. She acted as general counsel for a 14,000 member union in litigation, arbitration, disciplinary appeals, and PERB proceedings.
On January 13, 2020, she opened the Law Office of Tracy J. Jones. Her practice focuses on general civil litigation. The firm distinguishes itself by providing quality legal representation at below-market rates unavailable at other firms due to their built-in overhead costs.
When Tracy is not kicking ass for the working class, she enjoys watching University of Kansas basketball games, playing bar trivia, and running.
