Patrick Gaherity Shea

San Diego Attorney Patrick Shea is a graduate of Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego where he was valedictorian and graduated Summa Cum Laude as the top-ranked student of his class. He received American Jurisprudence Awards an astonishing 13 times during his studies. Mr. Shea began his legal career as a law clerk for San Diego Superior Court Judge Charles R. Hayes and has been practicing law since 1996.

After law school, he first gained a position as an attorney at a products liability law firm and aggressively pursued claims against a large manufacturer of a tainted vitamin supplement. Those matters where litigated all throughout the country and resulted in seven-figure recoveries.

Following the practice of products liability law, Mr. Shea established himself as a defense attorney for some of the largest insurance companies in the country. This exposure to insurance defense practice provides him with unique insight and strategies for managing injury claims. He now uses the experience of working for insurance companies for the benefit of the people and organizations that he represents. Seeing these cases from the insurance company perspective has proven to be a tremendous asset to his clients.

As a result of his experience, Mr. Shea is highly skilled and effective at negotiating with insurance companies for the best interests of his clients. He has developed healthy working relationships with many insurance companies and their law firms. Thus, he is able to shrewdly negotiate fair and equitable settlements for his clients.
