I called to get help with a BS open container charge, and Steve suggested I contest it myself bc it was only a $280 fine. Well, this was my first ever need for a real lawyer other than a minor traffic ticket. Boy was I freaking out. I was losing sleep and fearful of jail and thinking the worst. After doing lots of research about my situation. I started looking for an attorney. I kept getting the runaround from a...tty's who didn't want to take a misdemeanor case due to the lack of $$$ and prob because they can make a ton more off the plethora of DUI clients out there. Anyway, Steve gave me plenty of time and answered all my questions during the first phone call, and again at the in person consultation. I had no worries about him showing up in court for me since his office is a stone's throw away from the downtown courthouse. He kept me reasonably informed along the way. With as much as I was obsessing over the situation, I prob had unreasonable expectations over the amount of correspondence I'd be receiving. Nevertheless, everything went according to plan, I was offered a great plea deal based on the facts of the case. I definitely would recommend Steve to anyone needing legal representation. I needed a traffic attorney who could rectify a bench warrant for an unpaid traffic ticket which turned into a misdemeanor. Before retaining Steve, I consulted with two other possible attorneys. The first attorney seemed intelligent, but I couldn't trust him as he sounded as though he only cared ab...out completing a transaction, not to mention charging an exorbitant fee of $750. The second attorney seemed trust worthy, however, he didn't sound competent enough to rectify my warrant/misdemeanor in the best case scenario for me. Then after consulting with Steve, I realized he was the right choice as he met my criteria on trustworthiness, competency and like-ability. Not only did he charge a fair fee which was a fraction of the amount requested by the first attorny, but also he was professional, looked out for my best interests and achieved the desired outcome of reducing the misdemeanor to a minor traffic infraction. He performed great work and took good care of his client. I can't say you would receive all this from a larger commercialized traffic attorney firm with fancy slogans plastered all over the internet. I am taking the time to write this review as my way of saying thanks and a job well done to Steve.
