Biography
Joshua Bruser seeks to provide his clients with first-rate legal counsel based upon years of experience in the arenas of politics and estate planning; his firm specializes in these two fields – political law and estate planning. Joshua’s goal is to competently and diligently represent his clients’ interests. The majority of his work is transactional, though Joshua also engages in litigation.
Joshua actively practices estate planning, helping individuals and families make important decisions regarding their assets and their own personal well-being.
Joshua also brings a deep understanding of both politics and policy to the field of political law. Prior to becoming an attorney, Joshua spent ten years working both on political campaigns and in the offices of elected officials. His career began in 2002 as an intern for then-Senator (and current Vice President) Joe Biden. In the 2004 cycle, he worked on the fundraising team for Joe Lieberman’s presidential campaign, and later as an Iowa field organizer for Dick Gephardt’s presidential campaign. In 2006, he served as the Southern California volunteer coordinator for California State Controller Steve Westly’s gubernatorial campaign, and continued serving as a senior advisor to Mr. Westly until 2010.
Joshua has also taken his passion for politics to the classroom, guest lecturing journalism students at the University of San Diego on campaign management and the intersection of politics and the media.
When he is not practicing political law or estate planning, Joshua works pro bono at legal aid in Chula Vista, assisting victims of domestic violence and civil harassment. He enjoys fishing, traveling, country music, eating good food, and religiously watching MSNBC and Fox News.
