John Paul Nordlund

John P. Nordlund is an Associate in the San Diego, California, office of Jackson Lewis P.C.

Mr. Nordlund’s practice focuses on the defense of employers and individuals in employment litigation matters under state and federal law. Mr. Nordlund’s litigation experience includes the defense of individual plaintiff and representative and class action lawsuits related to alleged wage and hour violations, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, breach of contract, and other related issues. Mr. Nordlund also has significant experience in defending employment matters pending before state and federal government agencies, such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing, the California Department of Industrial Relations – Division of Labor Standards Enforcement, and the California Employment Development Department. Mr. Nordlund also has experience in providing clients advice and counseling on various day-to-day workplace and employment-related issues. 

Mr. Nordlund first joined Jackson Lewis in 2011 as a Summer Associate. He continued working for Jackson Lewis as a Certified Law Clerk through his final year of law school and while awaiting his California Bar results. Mr. Nordlund has been an Associate in the firm since his admission to the California Bar in December 2012.

While attending law school, Mr. Nordlund served as a Legal Intern for the Education & Disability Clinic in the USD Legal Clinics and as a Teaching Assistant in the Lawyering Skills Department.  He was also a Comments Editor for the San Diego Law Review Editorial Board. Mr. Nordlund received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for Alternative Dispute Resolution and is a member of Wigmore Inn, Phi Delta Phi International Legal Honor Society.
