Jason Michael Kirby

Before becoming an attorney, I was a full-time law clerk for a judge in a civil litigation department of the San Diego Superior Court.  In 2001, I was hired as an attorney by Post Kirby Noonan & Sweat, a well-established, civil litigation firm here in San Diego.  In 2007, I became a partner.  I handle all types of civil litigation matters.  I represent both plaintiffs and defendants.      

I have been a litigator for more than 15 years.  San Diego Magazine has repeatedly recognized me as one of the Top Lawyers for business litigation.  Martindale-Hubbell® rates me as AV Preeminent®, which is a rating reflecting the highest level of professional excellence. 

I have tried numerous jury trials and arbitrations.  I have obtained millions of dollars in verdicts and settlements for my plaintiff clients, including a $2.3 million jury verdict as lead trial counsel.  I have also been very successful in defending my clients against millions of dollars in alleged damage claims, including verdicts and arbitration awards where no liability was found against my clients.      

I have represented Fortune 500 companies and ordinary people and families here in San Diego, and just about every type of business in between.         

I am a San Diego native.  I hold a business degree from the University of Arizona and a law degree from California Western School of Law.  I went to Torrey Pines High School.  

My firm is located in downtown San Diego, across the street from the State and Federal courts.
