Denise Edson Stich

Denise's current practice is focused on helping individuals and families with estate planning and administration of trusts and probate estates. She also has experience with other probate matters, including guardianships and conservatorships. She is currently a special counsel on the Tax Team and Trusts and Estates Group at Procopio, Cory, Hargreaves & Savitch, LLP. She previously worked as a senior associate attorney at Naimish & Lewis, APC. 

Her military service includes tours as Commanding Officer for a major Region Legal Service Office, Fleet Judge Advocate for U.S. Naval Central Command/U.S. FIFTH Fleet and U.S. Fleet Cyber Command/TENTH Fleet, and Special Assistant for Legal and Legislative Matters for the Vice Chief of Naval Operations, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations (OPNAV). She retired as a Navy Captain on January 1, 2015, after serving over 28 years. 

 A United States Naval Academy graduate, Denise holds both a JD law degree and a Master of Laws. She was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1993. She is a member of the San Diego County Bar Association (Estate Planning, Trusts and Probate Law; Tax Law; and Military Law sections) and Probate Attorneys of San Diego. She currently volunteers with Voices for Children as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), helping foster children in San Diego County, and is on the Board of Management for the Armed Services YMCA of San Diego.
