The Best lawyer to have on your side

I am a 44yr old male living with Multiple Sclerosis. After being turned down for SSI & SSDI as well as being denied after my appeal; I figured I would just have to live out the remainder of my years suffering. After a few more years of medical bills & no work, I was left financially broken believing ...I had nothing left to look forward to. So, I decided to apply for SSI & SSDI once again. To my dismay, I was again denied. At that point I made the decision to seek outside assistance. I spent the next couple weeks researching & contacting various lawyers about my situation. All of the lawyers I was able to speak with seemed to make me feel uneasy (as if they didn't really care about my situation)...feeling a bit discouraged, I moved onward with my search. I then came across "San Diego Disability Law Group" & clicked on the free claim evaluation they have on their website. After a few basic questions, clicked submit & waited in anticipation. The following morning I received a phone call from Aline. The 1st thought in my head was "great, another person i have to attempt to explain my situation to, who probably doesn't care"...Boy, was I ever wrong. As I spent the next hour or so speaking with her about my situation & troubles I had previously; she assured me that she would do the best she could to help me if I elected to have her represent me with my SSI claim. I could sense the sincerity, honesty & calming influence in her voice and was more than excited to have her represent me. I then explained to her that due to my mobility issues from the Multiple Sclerosis, I no longer had a drivers license & that I was unable to drive to her office. With that in mind she agreed to work through things with me via email & phone. we exchanged pleasantries & hung up the phone. About 1/2hr later I received the agreement forms from Aline in my email. My excitement started to grow & for the first time in years I had a feeling that everything was finally going to turn out alright. I filled out the forms Aline sent to me & returned them. Over the next few months I forwarded everything I got regarding SSI/SSA to Aline & followed the advice she gave me each step of the way. Aline was always very prompt & professional when responding to any of my questions or concerns. There was 1 time that another lady contacted me after I had sent information & was awaiting a response. The other lady was very courteous & wanted to inform me that Aline was unavailable at the moment & would take care of my questions as soon as she could or if it was something urgent, she could help take care of my concerns. This did not bother me in the slightest bit, because after all is said & done... Aline is out there fighting to help others who cannot help themselves. I hired Aline in mid-July, 2017. Over the next few months she was able to get the SSA organization to schedule the exams needed, collect additional medical history information required to help my case from my own doctors and probably a bunch of other things that I am unaware of. Here it is, the end of October 2017 & I received a letter of APPROVAL with a check for back pay from SSI. This was a very unexpected turn of events (since it has only been approximately 3mo's). To be honest, after talking with others who've attempted or have gotten awarded/declined SSI/SSDI or other programs. Almost everyone of them claimed it took them 1-2+ yrs to go through the process before receiving a final decision. Choosing Aline to represent me was the BEST decision I could have ever made with regards to the issues needing to be resolved. I believe she has the "Midas touch"... not because she can turn things to gold... rather because I feel like she has a true heart of gold & anything she lays her hands on to assist in will have the BEST outcome possible. I apologize to the readers for the long review. However, I felt it only proper to tell my story and share the experience I had after hiring Aline. best wishes to all

Compassionate and knowledgeable

I hired Ms. Gaba to help me with my SSA hearing. I am under the age of forty and suffer from a mental illness. Ms. Gaba had experience working with people like me. That was very reassuring. She also was easy to open up to and I did not feel judged. In addition, she was patient with my questions rega...rding the process and kept me informed. I highly recommend her.

Excellent Service, Very Informative & Knowledgeable

I had met with a few attorneys prior to meeting Aline and her partner, the other attorneys seemed less interested in my actual case and were going to take my case no matter whether they seemed to think they would actually win. When I met Aline, I was thoroughly interviewed about my Disability and she... and her partner discussed it before accepting my case, telling me that they only took cases they believed they could win. This really impressed me and gave me the confidence that she would work hard on my case to fight for me. My case lasted almost three years, and Aline was with me every step of the way insuring that I met all my deadlines and gave me realistic expectations as Sri what was coming next, even if it wasn't what I wanted to hear, she was correct every time! I really appreciated her professionalism and patience with me along the way. It has been a long path, but she gave me all the tools I needed to get through this and the court all of the detailed information of my complicated case they needed to finally approve me!! Aline was fantastic to work with and I would recommend her to anyone I know in my situation.

Helped me throughout the entire appeal process

I met with Aline Gaba, from the San Diego Disability Law Group, after two denial letters from Social Security for my Crohns disease and depression that was preventing me from working. At first I was reluctant on hiring a lawyer because I thought that I had no chance, considering two denials due to ...my young age (32 years old and education level). However, after getting medically retired from the navy and constantly missing work and numerous counseling from supervisors for my absences, which also lead to close terminations, it was recommended by my doctors that I continue fighting for disability. I scheduled my appointment and was interviewed by Ms. Gaba and her colleague Mr. Heppner. After telling them my story, I definitely knew that they were very competent dealing with medical issues. I didn't have to explain what my disease was nor any of my secondary diagnosis because they were already familiar with it as well as the symptoms that is associated with the disease. After they determined that my case is definitely worth pursuing, they explained to me how the appeals process works. Everything handed to me was easy to understand and if I had questions, it was easy to contact them by phone or e-mail. Ms. Gaba would always answer my e-mails in a timely manner, usually within 24-48 hours. Even though the appeal process is a lengthy process, they kept me up to date which helped to put me at ease. I did talk to a couple disability lawyers and looked at a couple reviews online before meeting with Ms. Gaba and Mr. Heppner. But none of them gave me the confidence that had when I spoke with Ms. Gaba and Mr. Heppner. I am glad that I made the choice to go with their law group.

You want this attorney at your hearing...you will not regret choosing representation!

I called three firms that did not have the confidence or knowledge to take on my disability case before thankfully one of the firms that had rejected me referred me to San Diego Disability Law Group. Without that referral, I am certain that I would have ben forced to either take on my case alone or w...ith sub-par counsel. I do not believe that should that have been the case that I would have been awarded a fully favorable decision. Ms. Gaba was awesome at my hearing. We're not well; we're not used to being in that situation, that's why you need someone who is competent and on your side 100%. Even now, as our necessity for direct communication has lessened, Ms. Gaba is still always just a phone call away. You deserve to have that kind of peace of mind throughout the entire application process and beyond and I highly recommend that you trust the San Diego Disability Law Group to do that for you.
