Dooley Walked Me on a Life Case

Brian Dooley is an unbelievably skilled criminal defense lawyer. I went to trial on a 12 count case with a potential life sentence. He was a bad ass in front of the jury. Verdict was not guilty on every single count. I received exceptionally skilled counsel.

Brian Dooley litigated effectively at my prelim

A few years ago I had been alleged to have committed two separate petty thefts of under 950 per incident yet upon arrest I was charged and arraigned on a Felony grand theft due to some inapplicable aggregation clause or doctrine. (Paraphrasing / recalling from memory) This rule says where repeat crim...es are committed and if 3 particular variables (the item stolen, cost of item, procedure in which alleged offender uses to procure item) are identical to the letter on each occasion over 1 then the dollar value per occasion can be aggregated thus making what would have been 2 seperate counts of a misdemeanor combine into a single felony. Upon meeting Brian Dooley (hereinafter "Dooley") he greeted me with this news not mentioning how obviously not secure the DA's position was and recommended I plead guilty to the felony and bank on the likely chance the judge would only sentence me mildly. To this, internally, I laughed in his face and thought "oh this guys got to be the epidomy of good for nothing PD's!" After this I didn't see or speak with Dooley again until prelim hearing (he has a particular communication preference with clients - phone only if I recall) and at prelim I just sat in the back of a cold courtroom while Dooley proceeded to skillfully litigate on the matter and before I knew it the judge is putting a stop to the DAs punk frivolous case. My thumbs up to Dooley...

Dooley's a "Dud"

Mr. Dooley is arrogant, rude, unresponsive and condescending. At times I would even argue unprofessional. It was apparent he felt the outcome of my case & how it would affect my life was of very little, if any, importance to him. I felt uninformed, confused and left with a lot of unanswered questi...ons. He failed to submit key evidence & didn't subpoena witnesses that would have helped my case. Consequently I was sentenced to jail time. The charges brought against me could have been better defended. I am confident that with another more involved, attentive atty I would not have been incarcerated.
