I have been a personal injury attorney in San Diego since June 1979.  The contingency fees, that I typically charge most clients, begin at 25%.  The fees increase to 33-1/3 if I am required to formally present the case at arbitration, mediation or trial.  If I am able to settle the case without expending the amount of time necessary to fully litigate it, then I believe that the client should benefit by receiving a lower fee.

In 2009 I was the sole recipient of the San Diego Trial Lawyers Trial Advocate Award.  I have also received the Preeminent AV Rating issued by Martindale Hubble for over 20 years.  I have annually been listed as one of San Diego’s Super Lawyer’s in San Diego Magazine.

I have successfully handled cases against General Motors, Ford, Honda and a number of other automotive manufacturers as a result of motor vehicles that were either negligently manufactured or designed.  I have also handled products liability claims against other major manufacturers and distributors for unsafe products.  Other cases that I have handled involved dangerous roadway design and unsafe road cases against the State of California, County of San Diego and other municipalities throughout California.  I have also successfully handled claims against Home Depot, K-Mart, Von’s and all of the other major supermarket chains.  Most if not all of the auto accident cases that I have successfully litigated, have included claims against all of the major insurance carriers operated in California including the Auto Club, State Farm, Farmers, Allstate, Mercury and Progressive. Some of these claims have also included uninsured and underinsured motorist claims and bad faith insurance claims, based upon the insurance carrier’s failure to abide by their obligation to deal fairly and reasonably with their own insureds.

Over the years I have successfully handled cases involving client who have suffered brain injuries, paraplegia, quadriplegia, assorted other spinal cord injuries included herniated disc.  My training and experience has enabled me to ascertain the underlying etiology of most physical symptoms that my clients have experienced following an auto accident or other trauma.  As a result, I have been able to differentiate between whether or not a client has sustained a soft tissue injury as opposed to damage to their disc or spinal cord and whether or not their physical complaints are due to an aggravation of a pre-existing asymptomatic, congenital or degenerative condition. 

I am acutely aware of the appropriate medical care that an individual should receive for the injuries that they have sustained.  I have had the pleasure of meeting most of the top medical specialists who practice in San Diego County.  Those professionals are available to provide appropriate medical care or to act as an expert to confirm the reasonableness and necessity of the treatment that an injured party was required to undergo.
