Unorganized and Non-communicative

His office was referred to us on the strength of his wife’s skill as an attorney, as they are partners in the firm. We did not have any communication with her about our case and she did not help in any way, which we now know was unfortunate. Evan spoke highly about the strength of our case. After we ...hired him and dealt with the first few rounds of Evan not answering important emails, we should have fired him. He always had an excuse. The lack of communication continued, the promised filing was six months late and had to be edited by us several times because it was missing important information. He billed us for an hour for calls that were thirty minutes. In mediation, he did not act in our best interest and was again, not communicative. We were heavily pressured to sign a badly written agreement we didn’t understand, so Evan wouldn’t have to prepare at the last minute for a trial he should have already been preparing for. We are still considering filing a complaint with the State Bar Association for unethical behavior.

Smart, well spoken attorney

Evan is smart, knowledgeable and well-spoken. He manages a case in a calm, strategic and fair manner. The IEP meetings are controlled and productive- not emotionally draining. You really can't do better.

Smart, prepared, thinks on his feet,

Even though the law might stink (which it often does) your attorney has to deal for you within the law. Can’t tell you how many times I wailed about how unfair the rules I was made to play by were. And I was suing another attorney. The rules do not favor the public. BUT Mr. Goldsen was thorough, sma...rt and relentless. I won a very suitable judgment from a crooked attorney and Mr. Goldsen was relentless in pursuit of Steve Feldman who had cheated us. When Feldman didnt pay what he owed us Mr. Goldsen stuck to it and we have finally gotten our judgement. You cannot do better than this young, smart, well prepared attorney. Maybe your case sucks but he’ll fight to get you everything he can. And let’s face it..in special ed law..it is weighted toward the School Districts..certainly not the students..this law is not for the faint of heart..don’t blame your attorney if the law he has to work with is less than it should be. I’d recommend Mr. Goldsen to anyone..he and his partner have a “Kid Whisperer” element to their practice. They understand the client’s issues and know the best way to fight for them even tho many have failed. They will succeed.

A Hopeful Beginning With A Disappointing Ending.

Mr. Goldsen along with his partner took on our case as a referral with a considerable amount of fee discounted. We were very grateful for that. Without it, we would not have been able to move forward. However, having a year to ponder the results compared to having paid a full rate; I am compelled to ...say that I am very disappointed. We only had two options, both of which were bad and we needed a resolution desperately. Looking back now frustrates me about the total process and how we were left with little to no acceptable options. I'm angry that there were no waivers for future claims which was the end result...a total failure. That is the reason for this review which I deemed necessary.
