Biography
Nicholas J. De Blouw was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1985. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Wayne State University, summa cum laude, in 2008 and his Juris Doctor degree from California Western School of Law, cum laude, in 2011. During law school, Mr. De Blouw was an Associate Editor of the California Western Law Review and authored Drowning Policies: A Proposal to Modify the Dublin Agreement and Reduce Human Rights Abuses in the Mediterranean, 40 Cal. W. Int’l L.J. 335-368 (2010). He was admitted to the California State Bar in December of 2011.
Mr. De Blouw joined Blumenthal, Nordrehaug & Bhowmik after clerking at a large nationwide firm that represented consumers and investors against large corporations in complex class actions. He now is a San Diego employment lawyer and San Francisco employment lawyer who represents individuals and large classes of employees in wage and hour class actions involving California Labor Code violations.
