I have had my own office since January 1984. I actually handled my first Social Security claim as a volunteer for a senior legal service in 1982. Over the years, the percentage of my practice working with Social Security claimants has increased until about 15 years ago it became the primary focus of my practice. Now, I only handle Social Security law matters, and although disability claims are the majority of the matters I handle, I also represent clients with Social Security retirement, overpayment or paternity issues. I try to have a hands on approach with my clients, and together we come up with a plan for proving their disability. I am also available for consultations when people just want advice on a Social Security related matter. After handling Social Security and SSI claims for over 30 years, I find it to be very fulfilling to know that I can have such a positive impact on the quality of life for my clients when we have a successful outcome. ...And I'm crazy about my two black pugs who are a constant source of entertainment and love!

Even though I have not officially started working with Alise (I plan to soon), I have found her to be extremely knowledgeable on this area of law. In addition and perhaps more importantly, she is professional yet still REAL...aka personable. Rare these days. Thank you, Alise!

"Ms. Kellman frequently answers Social Security questions on Avvo. Her answers show the depth of her knowledge on the subject matter and she is always very thorough in her responses. She is certainly an attorney I would recommend for someone seeking representation in a Social Security matter."
"I endorse this lawyer. I have known Ms Kellman for over 25 years. Although I retired in 1995, she worked with me as I handed over my practice to another attorney. I continue to refer cases to her and consult with her on personal matters."
"As a Workers' Compensation/ Injury Law Attorney I often have the need to refer my clients to a Social Security Attorney. I have been referring my clients to Alise Kellman for nearly 20 years. In fact, Ms Kellman is the only Social Security Attorney that I feel comfortable in referring my clients. Ms. Kellman is that good! I can therefore without reservation or hesitation enthusiastically endorse Alise Kellman!"
