Jacob Layne Stipp

Mr. Stipp graduated in 2003 from Indiana University-Bloomington with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Criminal Justice. Following his undergraduate education, Mr. Stipp worked for the Social Security Administration for several years, where he adjudicated disability claims and received extensive training on medical injuries and their short and long-term effects on human functioning and one’s ability to work.  During his time with the SSA, he was also a union steward, handling grievances for state employees through mediation and arbitration.  Mr. Stipp's work as a union steward eventually peaked his preexisting interest in pursuing a career as an attorney.

Thereafter, Mr. Stipp graduated with his Juris Doctor from Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco, California in 2010.  While in law school, he realized he wanted to pursue a career as a plaintiff’s attorney, so that he could help individuals fight deep-pocketed corporations and insurance companies. 

That is why Mr. Stipp’s career has been devoted 100% to helping the injured seek justice in all types of personal injury, elder abuse/neglect and wrongful death cases.  He has secured millions of dollars in settlements for his clients.  He has also found a home in the courtroom as a trial attorney, having tried several cases to verdict.  In 2015 alone, he secured a seven figure jury verdict and also a six figure jury verdict in arguably one of the most conservative counties in California. 

In Mr. Stipp’s short career, he has already received several awards, including San Diego Daily Transcript Top Young Attorney 2013, San Diego Daily Transcript Top Young Attorney Nominee 2014 and Super Lawyers Rising Stars 2016 and 2017 (an honor bestowed on no more than 2.5% of attorneys in California).
