Christina Garcia

Mrs. Garcia is a Partner at Helix Law Firm.

She received her Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law and Bachelor of Art from San Diego State University in Political Science with a minor in Religious Studies.

While in law school Mrs. Garcia gravitated towards practicing in the areas of law that relate to wills, trusts, and probates. She has been working in estate planning firms since 2016.

As counsel for the executor/administrator/conservator of an estate, Mrs. Garcia has advised clients and provided probate administration, probate litigation, and conservatorship services.

Her passion is to collaborate and assist clients prepare and update personal estate plans to avoid probate and conservatorship proceedings. Mrs. Garcia knows that those proceedings are costly, time consuming, and emotionally draining on families. She understands the best way to avoid probate and conservatorship proceedings is by having a properly executed and valid living trust. Thus, she emphasizes the importance of creating, maintaining, and funding an estate plan in the form of a living trust and ancillary documents. Estate plans provide individuals and families with stability and peace of mind over, potentially, multiple generations.

When it is time for a trust to be administered, Mrs. Garcia has been retained as counsel to the trustee. She has advised and assisted the trustee with the proper steps to be taken during administration, and has drafted the documents necessary to assist the trustee in marshalling the estate assets. Her goal is to make the trust administration process as smooth and efficient as possible.

Mrs. Garcia also has experience in the practice of Corporate and Business Law. She has assisted clients creating new entities by drafting formation documents and filing the necessary documents with the government.

In addition to working at Helix Law Firm, Mrs. Garcia currently serves on the Board of Directors for the California Browncoats, Inc., a non-profit corporation that raises funds for various charities throughout the year; such as, the Al Wooten Jr. Youth Center, which provides a safe space and educational support to children grades 3-12 in South Los Angeles. As an alumni of the Guardian Scholars Program at San Diego State University and the Just in Time for Foster Youth non-profit organization, Mrs. Garcia understands the power of giving back to the community and empowering the next generation.

Mrs. Garcia is from San Diego and currently resides in East County. She enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with her husband and rescue pets.
