Biography
Attorney Alan G. Ridenour manages his own practice while working with various other San Diego area firms. While studying law, Mr. Ridenour was a Sr. Liability Adjuster for a local San Diego adjusting firm. During his years with the firm he gained invaluable experience and insight into handling large liability claims from the insurance company perspective. That experience is most beneficial now while representing clients in their dealings with members of the insurance industry.
Mr. Ridenour received his Bachelor of Science degree in Geological Sciences from San Diego State University in 1996. He went to work for a Sierra Nevada gold mine as a lead Investigative Geologist and later held a position with the City of San Diego. Both positions provided early experience with regulatory interpretations and compliance.
Mr. Ridenour transitioned into handling liability claims for a San Diego area adjusting firm, which concentrated on maritime, aviation, as well as commercial general liability claims. During this time Mr. Ridenour returned to school earning his Juris Doctorate degree from Western Sierra Law School were his studies secured him the honor of class Valedictorian. While at Western Sierra Law School, Mr. Ridenour wrote articles for San Diego Lawyer Magazine while continuing to hold his adjusting job.
After passing the California Bar Examination, the “most difficult bar examination in the country”, Mr. Ridenour went to work for one of his prior law professors, a local Family Law Specialist. Mr. Ridenour still works as a special associate for his former professor.
