I graduated from the University of California, Riverside in June of 2004 with a Bachelors Degree in Sociology and an emphasis in Law and Society. After traveling and working for a year, I returned to school and obtained a Masters Degree in Social Work from California State University, Los Angeles. During my graduate program, I worked as a Medical Social Work Intern at Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center and as a Children’s Social Work Intern at Pacific Clinics Treatment Centers.
In August of 2007, I began attending the University of La Verne College of Law where I received my Juris Doctor Degree in May of 2010. At the University of La Verne I was vice-president of the Hispanic National Bar Association (2008-2009) and a member of both the Student Bar Association and the Beverly Hills Bar Association.
My knowledge of Social Work and Law has given me the experience to provide insightful counsel for all types of family law issues, including custody and support matters. My work as an extern with The Alliance for Children’s Rights gave me a vast understanding of the different issues involving children. My work at Neighborhood Legal Services and the Inland Empire Latino Lawyers Association helped develop my love and passion for family law cases. I understand the emotions that accompany a family law matter and am truly dedicated to providing a high level of personal attention to every one of my clients.
I am currently a member of the Riverside Bar Association as well as the San Bernardino Bar Association. I am married and have one daughter. I was raised by Salvadorean parents and speak and write Spanish fluently. I enjoy running, scrapbooking, reading, and traveling during my time off.
