James earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Philosophy from California State University, San Bernardino, and earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In law school James was the Managing Editor of the University of St. Thomas Journal of Law and Public Policy, and Associate Editor of the University of St. Thomas Law Journal, where he published a note titled: Genetic Plastic Surgery: How Neoeugenics Creates a Culture of Stage Moms, 7 U. St. Thomas L.J. 209 (2009).
After graduating law school, James served as an Expert to the Holy See's Mission to the United Nations in New York City, where he represented the Holy See at the General Assembly. Before joining Tyler & Bursch, James practiced law as a plaintiff's personal injury attorney and subsequently gained experience in a number of areas of law including construction defect, estate planning, employment law, and complex civil litigation. Currently, James represents clients in the areas of civil litigation, estate planning, employment law, corporate formation, and asset protection. He also works for Advocates for Faith and Freedom, and is involved in litigation to preserve our First Amendment freedoms.
James is an experienced oral advocate at trials and other court proceedings. He has a diverse skill set making him successful in mediatons and settlement conferences. James' approach to the law allows him to maximize legal remedies while maintaining a cost effective approach for his clients. James is licensed to practice law in all courts in the State of California, and the Federal District Court for the Central District of California.
