During high school, Ms. Hartog volunteered at a local community resource center known as the Gary Center. It started as a class project and she continued as a volunteer for many years thereafter. The community center assisted with the needs of the homeless, and those transitioning to sobriety. Ms. Hartog developed a keen understanding and empathy for people going through hard times.
After graduating from California State University, Fullerton, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice, Ms. Hartog began a career as a private investigator, through Stein Investigation Agency and as an independent investigator, through Hartog and Associates. Ms. Hartog then decided to pursue a career in the legal field and continued her education while continuing as a private investigator.
Ms. Hartog graduated from California Southern Law School in Riverside with a Bachelor of Science degree in Law and her Juris Doctor degree and was admitted to the California State Bar in 1997. Since 2000, she has practiced law independently through the Law Offices of Diane M. Hartog.
She has sat as Judge Pro Tem on many occasions and further served the legal community as a founding member and former director of the California Divorce Professionals of the Inland Empire, and is a current director of the East West Family Law Council. Ms. Hartog is a past president and sits as a current board of director of the Western San Bernardino County Bar Association.
Ms. Hartog is a former board member of Inspire Life Skills Training, an organization which assists young adults aging out of foster care to secure housing and education.
Ms. Hartog has raised two daughters and is a long-time resident of Riverside, CA. She has an active social life, is involved with several vintage car clubs and contributes to various charitable organizations. She previously sang in the choir at Melody Land in Anaheim and sang in the choir at Corona Community Church for many years.
Ms. Hartog loves children and prides herself in taking on cases that benefit and protect children and help them to become fully functioning adults.
